yep i am working again..
in shifts this time.

the work isn't much in the way of rocket science but it pays and it's not that physicly straining.. although the bloody night shift never ends..
i've got some nice co workers.. (sorry can't spell colleague) and i spend most off my time wondering what to do.
that's because the other people do all the work.. and don't tell me what i am supposed to do..

so.. no more free time.. except for four days off every six days work.. (which is nice)

to the loo and see ya again some time

wel my giro's cut off. and i have a job!
yay i hear you say, what bliss!
well it was for like two weeks, no problems moneys coming in and no problem.
nice and easy on the reachtruck and not a care in the world accept the exhaustingly early shift of 6 on the clock.
then the supervisor came with the news i was to wait untill they needed me again..
"say what?" i said.
well everybody's here now so we don't need you at the moment.

those stupid troglodites at the temp office lied again. not giving me all the info has been their sick kind of hobby lately.
so i phoned up and asked if they knew.
yes says the first person i get on the line.
no says the one that is supposed to know.

we have this little saying in holland to convey our utmost contempt for people... " they can all get gassed" as far as i care.
the temp office mind.. not the guys at work.
so i am at home again. no job (at the moment) and for the first time in years, no bleedin' cash.
man i hate this.. only being able to work when people see themselves fit to employ you.
maybe i should just lob one of my leg's of and convert to some stupid religion and then the employers would get paid to employ me.

well now,
i am pissed of.
i was once asked the question(after a long time of silence) would you like to play drums with our band?
(i see myself as a really nice drummer)
so i went for the obligatory talk and a beer, which was nice. and after that i never hear from them again,
"we are trying to get a few songs together we'll mail you in a month or two"
now i heard a little something during our murpys quiznight that they went and got a drummer from deventer..
the bloody nerve.
they can now just piss off and die for all i care.
dangling a bone in front of your nose when they feel like it.
and the cheek of those guys, "do you feel passed over?" they asked... well bloody yes i tell them.
sometimes life isn't fair..
but that is just the story of my life. actually.
always last to be selected .. always last.
i am a nice guy.
and nice guys finish last.

bugger.

ps: i am drunk so typing isn't my strong point right now.

no job,
still have to do the dishes (it's been standing on the counter for the last three days),
still have to do one more feeble attempt at a job application this month (i am probably going to be too old or too inexperienced)
my neighbour must be deaf because i can hear the Iranian television announcer through the wall
and i forgot to turn the central heating up so i am as cold as cold can get..
isn't live great.

you know what.. i am going to hug a rat.
always makes me feel better.

first thing first. i have got the mother of all hangovers. it's 23:14 hours right now and my head is still aching from the boozer yesterday.
but that's just my own fault.. shouldn't drink so much.
but when you wake up in the morning.. make that late afternoon... and hearing that your dad called with some bad news about your 18 year old cat that just set the tone for the day really.

Mickey my cat has died.
poor bugger was on his last paws a while now. getting skinnier and filthier every day.
he started drooling and was most certainly deaf and getting blind.
but it still didn't go paws up. that is untill yesterday evening.
he was 18.
and i am still not feeling to good. yeah sure it's a cat and not a person but ever since my mother died the poor creature was a bit lost.
it was more her cat than mine. i think that was because she fed it more than me.
i can still see him coming to the house for the first time, some lady had saved the kittens from death because the owner wanted to drown them.
and my mother fell in love with the animal from then on.
we even taught it to eat at the table. he had a little platform at the head of the table on which he sat and when he put his paw on the little tin in which his dried catfood was stored he got a saucer full.
it was a cat of about 7 and a half kilos so a big cat.
the terror of the street if you asked me because no other cat came in the garden when he was there.
but old age started to set in.
i think he had a good life.
but i am sad. it's been a good friend like only a cat can be. (always ready to tear your arms open in a loving way)
and i am going to miss 'm.
i still see that image of him as a kitten and as a fat ball of fur.
but where ever he is i hope there's kibble.

another day well spent.

just want to share something with you,
we have got our new rats,
3 of m. and boy is there a change.
Errin and Eilidh are totally stunned and the little white rat called Dangerous Beans is trying very hard to be their friend... so far (after being kicked off the platforms many times) she has succeeded (in the first two hours) in doing every "scary" thing the big rats only managed to do after two weeks. she is our heroin. (for everyone who is not english, no not the drug).
The two halfsisters of our first rats are really like them... they lounge about and don't do anything much.. just like errin and eilidh when they first arrived.
but they are just to cute to not look at. you just want to hold those little suckers but the best thing is to just let them explore.

and so as to show you what i mean,

well.. the new job has upped and gone..
the basterds hadn't mentioned that they had hired someone else at the same day i started work. someone with more experience.
so i was just hired to patch up the gaping hole left by the other bastard that went away. it was just for one week.
and they made it look like i was worthless at my job.
so that makes job number 7 down the gyppo.

hey guess what! i am unemployed again!
no i don't like it. but there is something to staying home.
there is nothing like the feeling of being utterly useless and bored out off your skull.
at least i had a call from the temp agency for some work. turns out it is ( i think ) not possible for me to work there because my girlfriend is working for the competition.
BOLLOCKS!
so i still have to wade through some more crap to get a new job.

i went to see my father yesterday. just to show off my brandspanking new rayban glasses. (the old ones were getting to weak.. i couldn't see very well in the distance no more.. it was like wow nice girl... wow.. nice woman... aargh old tart! ya know? kinda like that)
so when i got there i had a wee chat with me dad and well .. he liked the glasses.. another milestone! cause he doesn't like much of the things i buy. but then i took a look at my cat.

i really broke down right there.

i have had that cat for going on 18 years now.
and when i left home the cat was already going deaf.
but it really went south for the cat because it's now completely deaf, horribly emaciated (though it still eats like a wolf) it has a swollen jaw so it can't clean itself and well... i think it's starting to go blind as wel.
he looks really old and tired. it was horrible.
now any normal thinking person would have it put down. but (and this is where i agree with my dad) it is very hard.
but i am thinking if he doesn't do it .. i might have to.
i mean you take it to the vet and that's it..
but it's been a buddy for so long now.. so it would be like killing a close friend, know what i mean?
but i think it's better for the droolin' little sod.
just to think it was once a proud terror of the street weighing in at about 8 kilo's... and now it's nothing more that a walking anatomy lesson..
i am going to think long and hard about this..

while i was writing this i got a phone call concerning the previous statement made about not being able to get that certain job..
there seems to be no problem and i have got an appointment for an interview tomorrow..
go figure.
well

wish me luck..
i'll need it.
